Eyewitness News Everywhere Uncovers: $ugar Daddies

Eyewitness News Everywhere Uncovers how ladies who are looking for high rolling men can now turn to the internet to find their Sugar Daddies.

We have all heard of the dating websites Match.com and E-Harmony.com, but what about Sugar Daddie.com?

Sugar Daddie.com was created a coupe of years ago by a former Wall Street broker who was looking to set up his rich friends with attractive women. It has now transformed into a site with thousands of members, many who say they are finding true love.

Eyewitness News Everywhere Reporter Dana Rebik took a look at the site and found a Memphis Woman who found her money maker online.

Verlinda Zeno says “I was sitting in the house lonely and I decided to Google different websites and I saw Sugar Daddie and I said oooh! Catchy name!" Zeno says she was hooked. She paid the membership fee and spent some time searching the profiles of local men. There were doctors, dentists, and engineers all who say they are worth hundreds of thousands, even millions of dollars.

New Jersey Lawmakers Pass First-in-the-Nation Bill to Make Online ...

WASHINGTON, Jan. 14 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The search for Mr. or Ms. Right will soon become safer thanks to the passage of new legislation in New Jersey. The "Internet Dating Safety Act," sponsored by Senate President Richard J. Codey and Assemblywoman Linda Greenstein was signed by Governor Jon Corzine yesterday.

The legislation (S1977) arms consumers with valuable information by requiring Internet dating companies to disclose the extent of their safety measures, such as if they do or do not conduct background screenings on members who are seeking to date each other. Doing so allows consumers to make more informed decisions regarding the online dating provider they choose to use.

"People who turn to the Internet to build new friendships and relationships deserve peace of mind that the person with whom they wish to form a connection is who they claim to be," said Assemblywoman Greenstein (Middlesex/Mercer).

Fake beauties rush net lover

FAKE beauties, including a Nigerian woman with millions to share, have rushed an internet "sting" set-up to test online dating services.

THEIR stories are always the same - a tragic young girl, usually Nigerian, forced to live in terrible conditions until she is able to access the millions her father left her.

SHE will contact you through a dating site asking for help to transfer the money into an offshore account for your new life together.

USING a composite photo made from images of staff members, the Sunday Mail set up a profile of Geoff Carr , an eligible, handsome South Australianon, and put him a popular dating website to see what response we would get.

And it doesn't matter that he is not a real man – because neither are many of the women who contacted him during his first week on a popular dating website.

Brisbane widow tricked by online beaus

A BRISBANE widow is on the verge of bankruptcy after being seduced out of $60,000 in successive online romance scams.

The 65-year-old first-time internet user was also new to dating when she went looking for love online last year. After joining a meeting website for seniors, the woman was approached by a man claiming to be an English professor of physics who was building a robotic tractor. The woman, who wants to be identified only as Shirley, quickly fell in love with "James" who over several months sent photos of himself, his children and his passport. "I wanted to meet like-minded people," she said. "We were supposed to be married this Christmas. He asked if I could assist him with his project and I didn't hesitate because we were a couple. I borrowed $20,000 on a personal loan and sent him the lot." Shirley, who had been on her own since she was widowed 10 years ago, also sent him $10,000 for airfares.
